intro

Our blog is a communal place for vegebees to get together, vegetarian, vegan or veggie lovin' meat eaters alike to share ideas, information and experiences on how we can 'bee green'!

From recipes, cafe and restaurant reviews, to product reviews and ideas on how to live better, simpler, more eco friendly and more...green.

We live, work and drink tea in Manchester, and we will review places in and around the area, but also on our travels. Let us know if there's any places or products you think we should know about - we'd love to hear from you!

About us

Laura
I've been a vegetarian for 20 years, stopped drinking dairy milk 6 years ago and I'm now completely dairy free, but this is quite a recent development, so I'm definitely at the start of my 'living without cheese journey'!

I grew up in Cheshire, after Art College I moved to Devon. Then travelled to New Zealand and stayed there to study at Uni. 2 years ago I moved back to UK with my Kiwi man! Been in Manchester now for just over a year.

I'm dedicated to 'beeing green' eating green and living green, I don't believe any animal should be killed or abused just for me supper! I believe in a conscious life.

I turned veggie when I was 16, after deciding that covering the taste of chicken with twice the amount of mash and gravy on a fork just wasn't worth it anymore. Though I stopped eating meat because of its taste, I guess I now have ethical reservations about the meat industry.

I came to Manchester for university and settled up here for postgrad study too. Last year I travelled to Uganda and Thailand and am now itching to do more travel!

This year I want to try a vegan diet to challenge myself, and to encourage myself to eat healthier. I will miss cheese and cakes lots.
